A double from Rob Hershkorn saw Camden Park register their fourth win to maintain their advantage at the top, but they were made to work hard by a resolute Brixton team.

The home side bossed the first half and scored a deserved opener. It needed the heroics of Andy Joseph to keep Brixton in the game, with a some great saves.

Brixton posed more of a threat in the second half, with Gideon Gold causing Camden problems down the left, and it was from his free-kick that Dave Lusman bundled the ball over for the equaliser.

BOBs battled hard to secure the draw - "their best performance of the season, according to boss Paul Shamplina - but Camden nicked it a minute into injury team as BOBs failed to close down a shot from the edge of the area that the unfortunate Lussman deflected into his own net.

Camden gaffer Nick Kagan told JC Sport: "We survived a torrential downpour and some robust challenges to steal a deserved win in the closing minutes.

"We totally dominated the game - our possession play is excellent to watch at times and we are conceding very few chances.

"However, we should have been out of sight in this game, as well as last week, and yet both times we had to really fight for points. We must get better at killing games off.

"We stay top and now have a testing cup tie away at Harmen before a must win league fixture against NLR B. Exciting times for the Graphites."

Brixton boss Paul Shamplina told JC Sport: "It was a great battling performance against the best team we have played in the league.

"I'm gutted we could not see out the game at 1-1. That would've felt like a win, but tiredness and poor ball retention cost us in the end.

"I can't criticise the effort, which was first-class, but we have to start picking up points, or we are going to get routed."
