Hawks are flying high

The opening weekend of the Maccabi Primary League season saw 26 goals scored in three matches. Among them was Eli Apfel who hit four as Hendon Hawks beat Redbridge YJC 4-3 in the Under 11 Division.

HIS Hendon United A Blue struck double figures beating Alyth Belsize B Reds 5-3 and 10-1 in a double header. Kovi Rubenstein helped himself to four of the goals with Chaim Korman chipping in with a hat-trick. Isaac Gryn scored hit three as Alyth Belsize A White beat HMH 5-3.

Hendon Hawks A Tigers scored eight goals without reply against HMH C Blue in the Under Nine Division.

David Amor, Akiva Restan and Matti Karp struck as they won the first match 3-0. Karp (2), Amor and two own goals wrapped up a 5-0 success in the second.
