Haroldeans spot on in MJSL sevens

articlemain

Adam Cross converted the winning penalty as Haroldeans were crowned winners of the MJSL 7-a-side competition.

The Merseysiders beat Leeds Maccabi 2nds in a sudden-death shoot-out to settle the tournament at Frederick Road.

A side containing the likes of Jonny Harris, Adam Shiffman and Jamie Harris cruised through their group after downing Maccabi Manchester 3rds, HPR and South Manchester Sports 2nds.

Leeds Maccabi 2nds also powered through with Oakhill Lions, Reich Insurance Rangers and Maccabi Manchester 2nds put to the sword.

The pair progressed via the semi-finals and nothing could separate the two sides before the shootout went in Haroldeans’ favour.
