articlemain

Southgate Harmen A captain Jonathan Hirshler scored one and had a hand in the other to take them out of the relegation zone with a 2-1 win over Faithfold B in Division One. Nick Spevock replied.

Two goals from Paul Allen kept alive Brixton Old Boys promotion hopes after they beat Redbridge Jewish Care B 3-1. Jeremy Leigh scored the other to send the East Londoners down. Dean Michaels replied. Brixton finished with 10 men after Adam Kaye was sent off.

Division Three champions North London Raiders B thumped Zig Zag 4-0 courtesy of strikes from Ben Hart, Rob Samuelson, Jamie Freed and player-manager Rob Richman.

“It was nice to give some of the players who haven’t played regularly a full 90 minutes,” said Richman.

Jason Miller (4) and Joey Korilin (3) led the way as L’Equipe eased into second place in Division Five after thumping Pinner JFC 11-1. Mark Singer, Josh Lewis, Paul Rubenstein and a Vivian Emanuel own-goal completed the rout.

L’Equipe manager Oliver Manson said: “It is the perfect response after going out of the (Minor) cup. I am very proud of them all. Now we should go on and clinch promotion. No one could say we don’t deserve it.”

Luckless Pinner keeper Vivian Emanuel said: “We didn’t actually play that badly but stupid mistakes cost us some goals.”
