HEATON PARK ROVERS 4 SOUTH MANCHESTER SC 2nd 1

David Seligman has issued a hands-off warning to any clubs looking to poach highly-rated right-back Mark Broude.

Broude continued his red-hot form with a goal in this comfortable win over South Manchester Sports Club 2nd.

HPR boss Seligman said: "Mark is the best full-back at this level and it won’t be long before clubs will be sniffing around.

"He has a great engine, has a great positional sense and is as brave as a lion. We are sure he will stay with us."

Broude was not the only HPR player to catch the eye here. Mark Woolf got himself on the scoresheet, while Richard Myers and the prolific Jon Franks were also on target.

Seligman added: "We are playing well and don’t fear any side. Our next game is against Maccabi Manchester 2nds, who are leading the table, but we will give them a good game.

South Manchester Sports 2nds, who scored via Mike Hertz, continue to struggle at the wrong end of the table, bt player-boss Neil Collins sees some light at the end of the tunnel.

He said: "We are stretched this year and it has not been easy. But Harry Nelson, who is just 16, has been a shining light. We have a young side but those players will only improve in the future."
