articlemain

Maccabi Haifa have been drawn against Bosnian champions FK Borac Banja Luka in the Champions League qualifers.

The Greens must come through three qualifying rounds as they look to make the group stage for the second time in three years.

In season 2009/10, Haifa became the first team to go through the groups phase without scoring a goal or taking a point.

"There is no such thing as an easy draw," said Haifa coach Elisha Levy. "We will learn about our opponent and we will do whatever it takes to progress to the next round."

Maccabi will face Xäzär Länkäran FK of Azerbaijan in the second qualifying round of the Europa League. Bnei Yehuda will come up against UE Sant Julià of Andorra.

Hapoel Tel Aviv will start its Europa League campaign in the third qualifying round.
