articlemain

Chiara Whitefield and Jessica Helfgott achieved excellent results at the British Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Stoke-on-Trent.

Whitefield won the under-11 All-Round competition, with Helfgott claiming the bronze medal.

Helfgott continued her good work to take silver in both the Free and Ball finals as well as bronze in the Hoop and Rope events.

Whitefield went home with three medals overall, capturing silver in the Hoop and bronze in the Free section.

The girls are trained by Khulan Batbayar, a former international gold medallist from Mongolia. They train more than 14 hours a week at the London Academy of Gymnastics and Dance (LAGAD) in Muswell Hill.

Whitefield and Helfgott currently attend Jewish day schools and will be moving to JCoss and JFS respectively in September.
