Goldstein, 22, was in sparkling form during the three-day competition at the House of Sport venue in Wales.

He played a starring role in the opening 9-0 triumph over Scotland, scoring once and claiming an assist, before setting up two more and registering another in the 16-1 win over Northern Ireland.

But the tournament ended in disappointment as England suffered their first ever futsal defeat at the hands of Wales, going down 6-2.

Goldstein said: “The Northern Ireland game was my best of the tournament, and although we were the better team against Wales, they were more clinical and that’s what wins you games.

“This tournament was a great learning curve for myself as it I gained valuable minutes to help me develop at international level and we can now look forward to the Euro qualifiers.”

The tournament ended on a losing note, as the Three Lions lost for the first ever time to Wales, beaten 6-2.
