Julia Glushko stormed into the third round of the Women's Singles at Roland Garros following a stunning win over world no. 22 Kirsten Flipkens.
Israel's Glushko showed no signs of tired from her first-round win over Donna Vekic - a match that lasted two-and-a-half hours - as she produced one of the best performances of her career and progress 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
Glushko displayed some flawless tennis on Court 6, including two aces, no double faults and 27 winners.
She awaits the winner of Dinah Pfizenmaier and Sara Errani  in round three.
There was disappointment for Camila Giorgi who bowed out in straight sets against Svetlana Kuznetsova.
The Italian lost a first-set tie-break 7-5 before Kuznetsova eased home 6-3 in the second.
Jewish interest remains alive in the doubles competition, with Jonathan Erlich and Scott Lipsky progressing to round two of the Men's Doubles with their respective partners.
