Glenthorne pay the penalty in the cup

Second division EDRS Stonegrove caused shock of the round in the Henry Swerner Cup after eliminating holders and Division One leaders, Glenthorne United A.

Jacob Namer opened the scoring for Stonegrove but a brace from Richard Goldstein put Glenthorne in charge. But a last-minute header from Namer took the tie to penalties and Stonegrove held their nerve to win the shootout 5-4.

Ashley Davidson (2) and Jonny Summerfield sent North London Raiders into the semis with a 3-1 win over Clayhall Park Casuals. Brian Deal scored a consolation.

Brady Maccabi A through 4-0 against South Mancunians Dan Forman, Marc Herman, Perry Yam and an own goal. In the league, David Jackson, David Coburn and Richard Fox earned Norstar Old Boys victory over Temple Fortune.

London Maccabi Lions B drew 2-2 against Ashlodge in Division Two. Laurence Swerner and Howard Freeman scored for Lions. Ashlodge's goals came through Meir Velenski and Jon Seigal.
