Barcelona starlet Guy Asulin, 17, is being lined up for a move to England in January.

Reports from Spain suggest that the player's agent, Pini Zahavi, has made a strategic decision that playing in the Premier League is the best way for the Israeli midfielder to develop his talents.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Spurs have been linked with the player who became the first-ever 16-year-old to represent Israel earlier this year.

Asulin appears keen to move because he was disappointed not to be promoted to Barca's first team at the start of this season and he does not get on well with new reserve team coach Luis Enrique.

Any possible move could, however, be scuppered by red tape as, having lived in Spain since he was 12, the Israeli is about to be granted Spanish citizenship. But if his passport does not arrive by January, Asulin will not yet be eligible to play in the UK.

Deportivo La Coruna keeper Dudu Awat will also be leaving Spain when the transfer window opens. The Israeli international has not even made the bench this season after falling out with coach Miguel Lotina.

Awat has reportedly already agreed terms with Borussia Monchengladbach, where he would team up with fellow Israeli internationals Gal Alberman and Roberto Colautti.

Israeli have climbed to a record high 15th in the latest FIFA rankings.
