GB to take 43 athletes to JCC Games

articlemain

Maccabi GB have named a squad of 43 athletes for this summer's JCC Maccabi Games in Philadelphia.

Following on from last year's successful Games in Denver, the GB delegation will once again be led by the husband and wife team of Brian and Helena Green.

GB will send an Under 16 Girls lacrosse team to an international competition for the first time. They are also represented in basketball, football, swimming and tennis.

The Games are a mix of sporting competition and social activities for the 1,000 plus athletes from around the world to engage in and meet other Jewish teens.

Brian Green said: "We are delighted with the quality of the athletes as well as the management team that we have put in place. We are very confident of returning home with a haul of medals and, more importantly, plenty of new Maccabi friends."
