Josh Newman has been selected to represent Team GB at the Australian Youth Olympic festival in Sydney next year.

The Redbridge youngster will travel to the event as the top-ranked trampoline gymnast in GB and the only junior to achieve the required Olympic qualifying score twice this season, both achievements coming in the last three weeks.

Newman recently impressed in Gillingham where he finished second at David Ward Hunt Cup International. He followed this up by winning the Flanders Cup International Synchro in Gent in Belgium, finishing third in the senior boys event.
