MJSL JOAN COLLINS PREMIER DIVISION
HAROLDEANS 1 HEATON PARK ROVERS 6
David Seligman has described Jonathan Franks and Harry Roache as the league’s deadliest strikeforce after combining to hit Haroldeans for six.
Franks and Roache ran riot as Heaton Park Rovers stunned the Liverpool-based hosts.
HPR boss David Seligman said: "I believe Jonny and Harry are the most lethal front two at this level.
"It is a big statement, but I think they are a handful for any side on their day. They were both fantastic against Haroldeans and will only get better the more they play together.
"We were written off before the game but I was not surprised by this result. This had been coming."
Franks, Roach and an own goal rocked the hosts before Josh Chinn threw the Haroldeans a lifeline before the break.
But it was one-way traffic after the restart with Franks, Roach and James Lewis all getting on the scoresheet.
