Andrew Souber, the manager of Temple Fortune A, is confident that his team will bounce back from Sunday's 3-2 defeat against title rivals Brixton Old Boys.

Goals from Jamie Kent and Matt Sheldon condemned Fortune to their first defeat in seven matches and took Brixton to within a point of Fortune, although they have played a game more in Division Two. John Fisher and Scott Shindler struck for Fortune for whom striker Rob Benson suffered a rare lapse.

Souber said: "I am extremely disappointed because this was a match we should have won.

"But we are still in the driving seat and it is very much in our hands. We will just have to wait and see how the team responds to this set-back."

Brixton boss John Nitka said: "This was a game between the two best teams in the division and we showed our resilience. We paid them back for the defeat earlier on a very heavy pitch which prevented us from playing our free-flowing football.

"We showed them how good we really are. We are now on their backs and hope to win our last three games.

"Fortune are the ones who are now under pressure to win their matches."

Elsewhere, FC Team B eased relegation fears with Mitch Young (2), Richard Salmon and James Saady steering them to a 4-0 success over L'Equipe.

Hendon A missed the chance to go top of the Premier Division. Early strikes from Ben Kon and Avidan Last were cancelled out as Faithfold A hit back through Alex Levack and Alex Kaye to secure a draw.

Chigwell Athletic's promotion hopes were dealt a blow as they were beaten 2-1 in the derby against Redbridge Jewish Care B. Paul Block and James Rubin struck for RJC with Neil Tilley replying for Chigwell.

Virgil Levy, Simon Wax, James Sandler and Shmuey Mirwis were the goal men as Montana Boca United A. beat Camden Park 4-3. Richard Silver (2) and Adam Baginsky replied.

Jon Green and Scott Levy earned relegation-threatened London Maccabi Lions C a 2-2 draw at Southgate Harmen B Alex Hershman and Marc Cohen replied.

Division Three leaders Glenthorne United A were humbled 2-1 by Catford & Bromley Maccabi. Rafael Marom and Ashley Stokes helped the Cats to a shock win. Simon Bitton had equalised for Glenthorne but was later dismissed.

Paul Black, Joe Cullum and an own goal gave Team JLGB a much-needed victory as they overcame Real Life 3-2. Charlie Bernstein and Wayne Davidson hit back.

Two goals from Jonny Kaye plus one apiece from David Shamash and Zac Newman eased Norstar B to a 4-1 win over Zig Zag.

A last-minute strike from Fabio Revieccio, his second of the game, kept Glenthorne B on course for the Division Four title as they edged past North London Raiders C 3-2. Josh Graham and Jack Franks were the marksmen for Raiders.

Leaders Blizzard Storm returned to winning ways with debutant Alex Gold and Alex Rubin on target against Jewventus.

A last-ditch strike from Elliot Setyon dented Inter Borehamwood's title hopes. They were held 2-2 by Neasden C. Joel Lassman and Jeff Gotch were the marksmen for Borehamwood.

A four-goal salvo from Dany Kon inspired Los Blancos to an 11-2 success over Pinner JFC. Adam Hersh (2), Sami Birnbaum (2), Marc Benamram, Joel Holder and Ariel Weinstein completed the rout. Pinner's goals came through Asher Levin and Phil Peters.

Ben Bell and Edward Green sealed a third consecutive win for Athletic Bilbaum as they got the better of Hendon C.
