Daran Bern, last season's JC MSFL Player of the Year, was on target in his comeback match as Neasden's title hopes suffered a big blow at Hadley FC.

The Team GB star got Redbridge back on track in a result that has boosted Hendon's title hopes even further.

Victory was sealed by Adam Bolle, the former Leyton Orient striker, as the east Londoners flexed their muscles.

RJC manager Eilon Kennet told JC Sport: "It really made a change to actually have a proper squad available to select from and also, to be able to influence the game from the bench.

"It allowed us the opportunity of starting with a game-plan and the flexibility to change it if necessary.

"We played particularly well in the first half, scoring twice, with a third, perfectly good goal disallowed and a stunning volley from Ben Sollosi rattling the bar.

"Second half was a matter of keeping our shape and discipline and restricting Neasden to long-range efforts, with Josh and Bernie, on either wing, a constant menace on the break.

"So, now its one game at a time. You never know with football, that's why it's a funny old game."

NWN joint-manager Darren Yarlett told JC Sport: "A game with few chances, we dominated the ball as we do every week but lacked quality in the final third.

"Credit to Bergy and his lads for the win. I think they have a lot to do if the want to retain the league and hope Hendon slip up on three or four games which I just cant see."
