South Manchester Sports moved eight points clear at the top of the table after claiming their eighth straight victory after thrashing bottom of the table Manchester Villa 10-3.

The demolition gave Darryl Lee's men a healthy advantage of nearest rivals Mace who have played a game more.

Manchester Villa were unable to cope with the strength and power of Sout's attacking options and a 6-0 half time lead reflected the difference in standard.

Unfortunately, if not unsurprisingly, the second half saw a drop in tempo and a little defensive slackness but South still won the half 4-3.

The red-hot Adam Lavin helped himself to five before being withdrawn after an hour, with Ben Peppi (2), Mark Yaffe,Alex Koslover and Toby Levy completing the rout.

South get a break from league duty next week when they travel over the Pennines to play Leeds Maccabi 2nds in the first round of the Peter Morrison.
