JC BARRY GOLDSTEIN TROPHY GROUP A
FC Team B 4 North London Raiders C 1

FC Team B won Group A on goal difference with a comfortable 4-1 victory over fourth division Raiders C.

Emile Ben-Atar scored twice, Eddie Sternberg and Robbie Blair scored the others, both brilliantly assisted by Richard Sternberg passes.

FC Team B also went down to 10 men at 1-0 up when Adam Rosenfeld brought down the Raiders forward when he was the last man.

Assistant manager Darren Freed, standing in for Ben Simon for the game, told JC Sport: "The second half was the best we have played all year. We had a very rigid game plan and it worked. We showed a commitment I have been looking from us and we stepped up a gear today.

"To score three times in a 20-minute spell after going down to 10 men was a fantastic response. James Millman was superb at the back, David Gordon made two blinding saves, Richard Sternberg had two stunning assists and our finishing was first-class.

"All four goals were excellent including Emile Ben Atar's stunning 30-yard pile driver. We are delighted to progress to the quarters and the mood in the camp is good as we sense a cup run. There's A lot of hard work still to do though. Up the TEAM."

Toby Katz fired a consolation for Raiders.

Raiders' Rich Abrahams told JC Sport: "All in all it was a very frustrating morning's work for our boys. The first half was a very one-sided affair and I don't feel that it could be argued that we could have been a few goals to the good when the ref blew up for half time having created a number of clear-cut opportunities, but going in at 0-0 we were always leaving ourselves open to a team two divisions above us showing their quality.

"We continued to create chances in the second half - as you will against 10 men - but their keeper put on a great display and their finishing was both fantastic and clinical. Despite the fact that there was a red card, the game was played in good spirits and I want to wish FC Team B good luck for the rest of tournament."
