Faithfold up and running

articlemain

Faithfold secured their first points of the Maccabi Masters League season with an impressive 3-0 win over South Mancs A in Division One. Strikes from Russell Rich, Gary Good and Jonny Mack lifted the Superhoops to second in the table.

A storming second half comeback from South Manx B stunned defending Division Two champions EDRS Stonegrove into submission. Goals from Ian Leader and Adam Kern had put EDRS in pole position but Grant Morgan (2), Mark Shneiderman and Darren Coon turned the game on its head. Barry Silkman made it 4-3 but the Manx held on to claim a famous victory to condemn EDRS to their first ever defeat in the division.

Roger Kay (2), Gary Rose, Malcolm Hershman and an own goal helped Brady Maccabi B account for winless Norstar Old Boys 5-2. Brian Deal and Steve Feiger replied.

Joel Bogen's long-range effort earned Ashlodge a draw in a friendly against Shenley United. Daniel Lack had put United in front.
