End of the road for UJIA

articlemain

The JC MSFL has lost a second team after it was confirmed that UJIA has withdrawn from the league.

The U's have struggled in season 2012/13, claiming just one win out of 20 matches in Division One this season, and they follow Jewventus who dropped out of the Maccabi League a couple of months ago.

The team has struggled since Darren Rolfe stepped down as manager. Ben Radstone took over the reins during the winter but he this week explained why the decision was made before the end of the season.

Radstone told JC Sport: "Getting a team together every week was becoming a real challenge and we were having to cancel games at the last minute which was embarrassing for us and unfair on the team we were supposed to be playing."

"We’ll use the summer to decide if we are going to start again in the third division next season.”

UJIA's results have not been expunged as they have played more than 75 per cent of their matches. Hendon United Sports Club B have been awarded three points for the match against the U's, scheduled for May 19.
