JEWDINESE 2 HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB C 9

Hendon C moved into the next round in emphatic fashion with a 9-2 thumping of Division Three rivals Jewdinese - with leading marksman ALEX ELF walking away with the matchball in a ruthless performance.

Gab Saul opened the scoring with a sweet free-kick and Elf and Joni Kleiman made in three before long, the latter goal coming after a run from the halfway line. Jewdinese pulled one back, but further goals from Jono Nesbitt, Kleiman and Elf gave Hendon a 6-1 half-time lead.

After the break there was time for super-subs Ezra Dulberg and Jamie Grossman to grab a goal apiece, with Elf completing his hat-trick.

Jewdinese lost a man for a bad tackle late on but still managed to grab a second goal on the counter.

'Nese player-chairman Jake Erlich bagged a brace for the home side, and later told JC Sport: "It was a disappointing performance which turned into a disappointing result.

"We finished the game with seven men whilst only having 10 players available for the game.

"We can now concentrate on the league and hopefully put this performance behind us."

Hendon: Yaacov Goldin, Chaim Strom, James Neidle, Ezekiel Jacobs, Gideon Caller, Adam Jacobs, David Elf, Jono Nesbitt, Gab Saul, Alex Elf, Joni Kleiman. Subs: Ezra Dulberg, Jamie Grossman
