London Lions went five points clear at the top of the Herts Senior County League Premier Division following a hard fought win over Mill End Sports.

Manager Tony Gold gave a full debut to new signing Danny Berg who slotted in perfectly at right-back and welcomed back Guy Morris and Ben Lampert.

After a goalless first half, Lampert broke the deadlock with a 25-yard curler that whistled into the top corner.
Top-scorer Adam Stolerman bagged a brace with two excellent finishes.
Gold said: “It is hard to always win matches playing good attractive football, especially when the opposition want to turn the game into a kicking match.

“In the end our finishing proved the difference but every week will get harder not easier and it is important we stay focused and not get ahead of ourselves.”
