London Maccabi Lions Blue under-nine’s are toasting double delight after finishing their first season in the Watford Friendly League in style.

The team excelled in their first year of competitive football, winning 14 games out of 16 to seal the league title and Spring Cup.

Lions’ success means that three out of five divisions in the WFL under-nine category have been won by Jewish teams.
