Double delight as Nyman lifts Lions

articlemain

South Midlands League Division One
London Lions 3 Cranfield United 2
Two goals from Dean Nyman plus one from Matt Stock helped the Lions win a five-goal thriller against Cranfield United at Broxbourne Borough FC.

The score line suggests the game was much closer but in truth had Lions been more clinical in front of goal, they would have been out of sight by half-time.

A delighted Lions manager Tony Gold said: "It is a welcome pleasure to finally watch us play the football I know we are capable of playing. The committed lads who have been here since the season started and who have had to deal with a real rough couple of months are finally reaping the rewards of their hard work and loyalty.

"Cranfield have been flying since the season started and the table never lies so I am thrilled with the performance and the result from each and every Lions player today."
