Doncaster in for Furman

articlemain

Dean Furman looks set to complete a move to Championship new boys Doncaster Rovers next week.

The South Africa midfielder was on loan at Rovers for six weeks at the end of last season, culminating in a final day thriller against Brentford which they won to clinch the League One title.

Paul Dickov has since taken charge at Rovers and he is keen to snap up Furman, 25, who played under him at Oldham.

"I made Dean captain of Oldham when he was just 22 and that tells you all you need to know about him,” Dickov said.

"He's already a quality player and he’s got a bright future ahead of him. I've spoken to his agent and I’m confident we will get something done."
