Division 1 Team of the Season: profiles

Division One was arguably the toughest to pick. Find out why this XI caught the eye.

Oli Colmans (Brady Maccabi) - enjoyed an excellent season capped off with an incredible goal direct from a clearance. Has been known for some Heurelho Gomes-esque moments over the years but he was on top form throughout the campaign, keeping four clean sheets

Ollie Segal (FC Team A) - Mr Reliable makes defending look easy. A gent and about as gentle as they come off the pitch but on it he's top-drawer, rarely coming out second best in any contest

Adam Levine (Oakwood) - a leader of men who keeps his teammates on his toes with towering performances week after week. Should be playing Premier Division football, but wants to do it with Oakwood so will have to wait another 12 months at least

Rik Sherman (NL Raiders B) - "missed all bar three games last season with a mixture of injuries, exams and marathon training. This season he is trying to make up for lost time. Sherman is brilliant in the air but also very comfortable with the ball at his feet, he leads by example. His partnership with Grossman has laid the platform for a number of excellent defensive performances this season.

Adam Shafron (Chigwell Athletic) - edged out Raiders stopper Dan Grossman following a standout season at the back for the Chigs. His manager, Richard Slater told JC Sport: "This season is the best season I've seen Shaf play in the previous five years. He's been superb at the heart of our defence and easily the best centre half in the division. Never loses a tackle and has the spirit and never say die attitude..He'd walk into any squad in the MSFL"

Josh Hershman (Brady Maccabi) - "at only 21-years-old, Josh came to the club as a centre half/full-back and has been transformed in to a left winger". His manager feels that Brady's top-scorer has "the best left peg in any division" and "is also is a pleasure to manage". Josh Rosenfeld said: "He works hard in training and is fully committed"

Lee Platt (Brady Maccabi) - a gem of a player who was lured back to Little Bushey Lane following a short spell at Neasden. The heartbeat of the team, he impressed in both games against the champions and talent-wise, he goes from the sublime to the ridiculous

Elliot Espinoza (North London Raiders B) - "his game has come on leaps and bounds this season. A massive influence in the centre of midfield, this season Espinoza has single handily dominated proceedings. Never gives the ball away and one of the best readers of the game. Despite his size he doesn't shirk a challenge and over next few years without a doubt he will be playing in rep side"

Eddie Manson (Oakwood) - another giant of a performer whose experience of top-flight football rubbed off on his teammates. Popped up with crucial goals and moments of inspiration in equal measures

Matt Drage (FC Team A) - the rock of the Team engine room. A real warrior who would run through a brick wall for the cause. Would get into most Premier Division teams

David Dinkin (North London Raiders B) - "20 games and 24 goals in his first season for Raiders. Has led the line brilliantly with his hold up play and ability to bring others into the game second to none"
