The high-flying Lions, managed by Gavin Alexander, currently sit fourth in the red played top of the table Comet Dolphins in a top of the table clash.

The pressure was on Comets as they are unbeaten this season and a Lions team that have only lost once this season, and that was at the hands of Comets in their second game.

Lions went one behind after 25 minutes to a superb individual goal but showed determination to finish the half on top with two class goals from striker Davis.

The pressure was on Lions straight from the second half kick off as Comets piled on the pressure to protect their unbeaten run, and with 15 minutes remaining they scored from a Delap-style throw that Lions had been defending so well all game.

Man of the match went to midfielder Adam Abadi who spent the entire game as stand-in goalkeeper.

Manger Gavin Alexander commented: "These boys are an absolute pleasure to manage. They put in an enormous effort every week and get results.

"It's great to see a Jewish team competing at the top of the top division in the Watford Friendly League."
