articlemain

There were more than 50 nominations, a record, but in the end the list was whittled down to a Select XI who stood out from the rest.

1. HARRY FINE (Southgate Harmen) – a “first-class” performance and clean sheet against Woodford

2. JAMES KORN (FC Team A) – “nothing got past him against London Maccabi Lions, he was strong and solid”

3. SAM LEWIS (Faithfold A) – second consecutive nomination, another rock solid performance against a star-studded Brady team. This young has a very bright future

4. SCOTT KAY (North West Neasden) – “absolutely superb once, playing alongside Craig Edwards, and kept the normally free scoring Shirley Park at arm’s-length

5. HENRY ZIFF (Brady Maccabi B) - “absolute rock at the heart of the defence. Outstanding debut, especially his superb goal” against Chigwell

6. DARREN BROWN (Redbridge JC B) – “captain and rock, calmness personified against Bilbaum"

7. DAVID RHODES (Norstar London Raiders A) – imperious from start to finish against Camden

8. MAX WORTH (FC Team C) – “pulled the strings in the middle of the park and was always in space” in a performance that helped his team win the derby

9. YONNI BORD (Catford & Bromley Maccabi) – led the AC Whetstone a merry dance to continue his excellent start to the season

10. DAN PIKE (SPEC FC) – “scored a sublime hat-trick, with each goal a contender for goal of the season” against Brixton

11. BENJI GREENBLATT (King Crown) – star man bagged a brace against an experienced Faithfold C team
