Danny Caro's Team of the Week: September 22

articlemain

I was inundated with nominations once again, but in the end only 11 could be selected and I've gone for the cream of the crop.

1. TONY HIRSCHSTEIN (Temple Fortune) – stand in ‘keeper produced a “superb display in goal, was quick off his line, mopped everything up, made a superb goal line double save at 0-0”

2. JAKE RINSLER (Brady Maccabi A) – “already showing why he is going to be one of the best Jewish defenders ... at 16 never let's anything faze him and was immense” against Raiders

3. ROB BLACKMAN (Norstar London Raiders A) – “a man-of-the-match performance from the Raiders utility man first at left back and then acting as midfield destroyer quashing every attack Brady tried to launch”

4. ANDREW HURWITZ (FC Team C) – enjoyed a dream debut with a goal and man-of-the-match display against Blizzard

5. ALEX TAYLOR (Faithfold A) – ensured the Superhoops had a safe passage into round two of the Anekstein with a typically robust and no-nonsense display in a game where RJC asked questions of Faithfold in defence

6. YISHAI LAST (Hendon United Sports Club A) – SEE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

7. NATHAN SOLLOSI (Redbridge Jewish Care B) – “a virtuoso performance in midfield that was inspirational as it was technically magnificent” against Faithfold A

8. MITCH HAHN (Woodford Wanderers) – was at his inspirational best in the pressure-cooker atmosphere of an east London derby. Chigwell just couldn’t live with him …

9. JAMIE KENT (Shirley Park) – “absolutely clinical in front of goal, and looking back to his best” following a hat-trick against Harmen

10. RICHARD SALMON (FC Team A) – the giant striker smashed home a hat-trick and was “unplayable” according to his manager in the 6-1 drubbing of Redbridge

11. BEN ZLOOF (AC Mill Hill) – in top form again with a sizzling hat-trick, including a sumptuous goal-of-the-week contender, against London Haroldeans
