Danny Caro's Team of the Week: October 30

articlemain

There were some outstanding performances on Matchday 8 of the MGBSFL, but in the end there could only be 11 names on the teamsheet. Here are the star men.

1. Gideon Rabstein (Mill Hill Dons) – nominated by both sides after a sensational performance against Raiders C. Produced one "unbelievable save for the penalty accompanied a very good performance for the man making his debut today. Late on in the second half he saved a point-blank shot with his feet to keep the Dons ahead. A very solid debut, plenty more to come"

2. Ben Buck (Oakwood B) - "arguably his finest performance in his four years in an Oakwood shirt. Handed the captaincy for the first time he brilliantly assisted the two opening goals. Embodied the team spirit"

3. Elliott Jackson (Oakwood A) - "stepped in and stepped up to the mark, really solid performance against SPEC. First appearance for the A's this season"

4. Grant Bates (L'Equipe) - "he was simply outstanding, winning every header challenge and led the line like his hero Richard Dunne"

5. Adam Newman (Scrabble) - "the game changed when Adam was forced to leave the field with a late injury after a massive defensive performance"

6. Ben Sollosi (Redbridge JC A) - "not too shabby alongside his younger brother"

7. Sam Sollosi (Redbridge JC A) - "back to his brilliant best in the centre of the park" and a goal

8. Nathan Sollosi (Redbridge JC A) - "played out of position wide right but was central to everything good that was happening and capped it off with two goals"

9. Jeff Gotch (Catford & Bromley) – "recovered from last week’s penalty miss in the cup to produce a typically predatory display against his former club"

10. Matt Stock (NL Raiders A) - "hat-trick hero. Tormented the Brady defence all game and took all three of his goals brilliantly"

11. Zac Lewis (Hendon A) - "two more goals for the man in great form - in scorching hot form at the moment"

MANAGER: Brandon Hamme (Mill Hill Dons)

REFEREE: Martin Fox (Camden Park vs Hendon Utd SC A)
