Danny Caro's Team of the Week: October 30

articlemain

SIMON ROTH (Athletic Bilbaum) - in the words of his manager Mark Pasha: “I don't think I've watched a better goal keeping performance in the MSFL. Simon pulled off four or five world-class saves from powerfully struck shots - diving full stretch to his left and right. Commanded the box all throughout the game taking a number of crosses off the heads of oncoming strikers, and had a near perfect afternoon from goal kicks

RAFI ADDLESTONE (Norstar B) - capped a stunning display with a wonder goal (Ed. in case you haven’t heard about it ;)) Norstar boss Jonny Bunt told JC Sport; “The moment of genius from Rafi was the difference”

RYAN SPRINGER (London Maccabi Lions B) - “provided the assist for the first goal and didn't let anything get past him”

ALEX NORMAN (Chigwell Athletic) - “his best game in a Chigs shirt – agile, organised and was first to most balls against a young striker

JAMES KAYE (Brixton Old Boys A) - always a class act. Stood firm alongside Ed Weicz to ensure that there was no way through for Camden Park in the battle of two teams boasting 100 per cent records

ALEX HERSHMAN (Brady Maccabi A) - See Player of the Week

ARI LAST (Hendon United SC A) - “an all action midfield display” capped by a brilliant hat-trick against Glenthorne A

JAMES RUBIN (Glenthorne United B) - “90 minutes of constant running with bags of energy”. Scored the opener in the 5-4 win over Shirley Park. “Great commitment and fantastic attitude”

AMIT DINOWITZ (Athletico Finchley) - must be given the Freedom of Finchley after firing a hat-trick that steered the team to its first-ever victory in the JC MSFL

BEN SIMONS (Faithfold C) - the bigger they come, the harder they fall. That is Big Ben’s motto. He delivered with interest in the cup shock against higher division opposition. Don’t bet against him for the JC MSFL Golden Boot!

DANIEL HILDEBRAND (Faithfold B) - filled in the boots in the demolition of L’Equipe, striking a fab four-goal salvo

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Alex Hershman (Brady Maccabi A)

MANAGER OF THE WEEK: David Garson (Faithfold C)

REFEREE OF THE WEEK: Aron Djanogly (Hendon Utd SC A vs Glenthorne Utd A)
