Danny Caro's Team of the Week: November 20

articlemain

1. BEN LAW (Faithfold A) - a flu-ridden Law was right in the zone, pulling off some stunning saves. He was dominant at crosses and corners while his reflexes left many wondering if he’d over-dosed on Lemsip!

2. SAMMY ROSS (North West Neasden A) - described by joint-manager Darren Yarlett as “a class act” in the 2-0 win over Brady

3. PERRY CHAYA (L’Equipe) - “’The Beast’” lived up to his nickname running the game against title-chasing Faithfold B virtually from the kick off. He was instrumental in all three goals and covered every blade of grass - putting in some great defensive tackles and headers. He really stepped his game up for the last 30 mins doing the work of two players once his team were down to 10 men

4. OLIVER KAY (Brady Maccabi B) - “man of the match against SPEC FC - a rock at centre half, and the match winner with an uncharacteristically accurate and powerful strike”

5. YOAV LEBENS (London Maccabi Lions A) - “a real captains’ display with two well-taken goals to help Lions capture the three points against an in-form Raiders B side

6. GIDEON GOLD (Shirley Park) - a hat-trick from midfield from the ginger gem

7. RICHARD SILVER (Camden Park) - “back to his lethal best on the right side of midfield, a fantastic diving header, a great finish and composure to slot the penalty he won for a well-deserved hat-trick, and he worked his socks off too”

8. DAN LIPMAN (Glenthorne United A) - the player-manager scored four goals from midfield - all coming in the first half

9. MARK LAZARE (North West Neasden B) - described by Norstar boss Phil Peters as “excellent”, hat-trick hero Lazare put the Stars to the sword, with a helping from the impressive Ricky Engleman

10. HARRISON MIDDA (Woodford Wanderers) - “led his team from the frontline with two classy goals steering them to their first victory of the season and put promotion-chasing Oakwood to the sword

11. JOEL KANUTIN (North West Neasden C) - “fantastic second half hat-trick to bring the points home”

JC REFEREE OF THE WEEK
Brandon Pieters (Redbridge B vs Harmen B)
From Redbridge striker Dan Orgel: "Considering his age and it not being the easiest game to referee, I think he did very well."
Martin Fox told JC Sport: "I think Brandon will go far. It's not easy getting the respect of teams with a young referee but it's clear Brandon does that every week. It's great to have him involved in Jewish football."
