Danny Caro's Team of the Week: November 11

articlemain

There was only one goalkeeper nominated this week, but his performance impressed the judges so much that he not only does he make it into the prestigious TOTW, but he wins Player of the Week too. The other 10 aren't half bad either!

1. GUY BEN-AROYA (Catford & Bromley Maccabi) – See Player of the Week

2. BRADLEY LANDER (London Maccabi Lions A) – the youngster impressed in Andy Landesberg’s first match. He was given a job and did it word-perfectly!

3. ADAM HAKIMI (Redbridge Jewish Care A) – was part of the “bus” that the Bridge boys parked in front Hendon. Would run through a brick wall for the cause and one of the first names on Eilon Kennet’s teamsheet

4. NICK ASTAIRE (LM Lions B) – “kept the defence calm and kept the in-form Cash away from goal”

5. RYAN COLE (Glenthorne United B) – two stunning goals capped a magnificent performance

6. SIMON PETERMAN (FC Team A) – with his team trailing 3-0 at the break, Peterman was determined not to finish on the losing side, “working tirelessly in the midfield winning individual battles”

7. GIDEON GOLD (Shirley Park) – playing in the centre mid holding role, Gold was back with a bang, pulling the strings in the impressive 4-2 victory over promotion rivals Hendon B

8. BOBBY COUSINS (Oakwood A) – hit a crucial late winner to keep the team’s Junior Sunday Cup hopes alive

9. RICHARD SILVER (Camden Park) – “was just unplayable, his best performance in a Camden shirt. He scored a fantastic hatrick, including a low drive from the tightest of angles and a curled effort right into the top corner

10. RICHARD FOGELMAN (Jewventus) – set the team up for their biggest win of the season with a fab four-goal salvo against Tottenham

11. NICK HARINGMAN (Norstar C) – 2-0 down in Essex, Haringman took the game against Loughton Orient by the scruff of the neck, with a brace wrapping up a memorable 4-3 comeback
