Danny Caro's Team of the Week - March 20

There were several exceptional performances at the weekend but this lucky XI is hard to beat.

Michael Mirrelman (Inter Borehamwood) – straight in at No. 1 is the Borehamwood blocker who was rock solid to ensure his team kept climbing towards the summit

Paul Shamplina (UJIA) – Shamps has been there, seen it and got the t-shirt and his signing could prove to be one of the best pieces of business Darren Rolfe has ever done. After an impressive 90 minutes against Temple Fortune B, a place in the semi-finals of the JC Barry Goldstein Cup beckons

Adam Rones (FC Team A) – “capped a brilliant performance by finishing off two great team moves and was solid throughout”

Sammy Kalms (Norstar A) – “has been so versatile all season playing at the back and up to but another performance marshalling the defence brilliantly, and even managed to get on the scoresheet for the first time this season

Brad Frankel (Redbridge Jewish Care B) – having made a miraculous recovery from a fractured cheekbone, Frankel helped stead the ship as the Bs with a crucial win over Camden

Steve Field (Brady Maccabi) – having played for the Rep Team just three days earlier, Field put in a fantastic display to kickstart Brady’s promotion challenge. He scored a goal that was simply out of this world to give his team a lifeline. He collected the ball on the edge of the box before smashing it into the top corner. A contender for Young Player of the Season.

Harrison Midda (Woodford Wanderers) – “the skipper lead his team to victory by controlling the midfield and pushing his team forward”

Michael Woolfe (Blizzard Storm) – the standout man in the vital win over Shirley Park also scored a standout goal to make it 2-2 with a goal of the season contender - a volley from 30 yards out

Jamie Kent (Brixton Old Boys) – cometh the hour, cometh the man. It was wham bam thank you mam as the red-hot Brixton striker made it 16 league goals for the season with three of the best against Faithfold B

Fabio Revieccio (Glenthorne United B) – You’ve heard of Fab Cap. Now meet Fab Rev. Glenthorne’s goal machine profited from several assists from strike partner Dan ‘the Beast’ Lassman to score a high five in the demolition of Pinner

Elliot Setyon (North West Neasden C) – his manager rated him at only 80 per cent fit before kick-off but Setyon played through the pain barrier to inspire a handsome win over Los Blancos. The former Brixton man “scored a great hat-trick and overall had a fantastic game”
