Here is the first MGBSFL Select XI of 2014.

1. BRADLEY GRANT (Redbridge Jewish Care B) - "it's not often a team wins 4-1 and their best player was the keeper, outstanding and extremely brave to make countless saves at the feet of oncoming strikers"

2. ALEX BLOCH (Norstar London Raiders A) - rock solid in the win over Faithfold

3. JUSTIN SPIRO (Norstar London Raiders A) - a textbook full-back's display

4. NOAH BIER (AC Whetstone) - "had another fine game" against Boca

5. JOSH PISTOL (Norstar London Raiders A) - didn't put a foot wrong against the champions

6. GUY HELMAN (Oakwood A) - ran Lions ragged on a pristine pitch at Rowley Lane

7. JONNY SHAPIRO (Norstar London Raiders B) - pulled the strings and always had time against Bilbaum

8. BEN MOSS (Faithfold B) - capped an excellent display against London Haroldeans with a goal

9. CRAIG SANDFORD (Redbridge JC B) - "debut goal and a constant menace up front"

10. PHILIPPE AURET (AC Whetstone) - three fab finishes proved too much for Boca

11. NICKY WOOLF (NL Raiders B) - scored his customary goal to keep his team flying high at the top of the table
