Danny Caro's Team of the Week: January 15

articlemain

1. PAUL SANDERS (Redbridge Jewish Care C) - see JC Player of the Week

2. JAMES FRENER (Faithfold A) - one of the best young defenders in the MSFL had another outstanding 90 minutes at Rowley Lane. He hardly put a foot wrong

3. MARK MARTELL (Jewventus) - majestic was how one Jewve supporter described the performance of Mark Martell on Sunday. He rolled back the years to put in a vintage display and keep the SPEC FC front line quiet

4. ADAM SPECK (Blizzard Storm) - although the Southend Jewish Youth Club 1992 reunion failed to hit the heights, Speck did not. In fact his performance left a big smile on the face of manager Simon Linden as he had the Neasden strikers in his pocket for 90 minutes

5. ADAM LEVINE (Oakwood) - playing alongside Ilan Scorah, Levine was absolutely immense as the Oaks moved joint-top after becoming the latest team to tame leaders Redbridge. He’s simply one of the best defenders outside of the Premier Division

6. REISS MOGILNER (Brady Maccabi B) - I’ve heard lots of good things about Reiss the rocket this season. In-form Athletico Finchley arrived at Rowley Lane confident of extending their good run but red-hot Reiss put paid to their hopes with a sensational display. The winger was always a threat. This showed, as the young speedster popped up with two goals, setting up a third, securing the victory for his side

7. GUY MARKS (Camden Park) - “has had an inconsistent season, was back to his very best in central midfield, completely running the game” against L’Equipe

8. RUSSELL YERSHON (Chigwell Athletic) - it’s been too long since Russell has been as rampant as he was against Harmen B on Sunday. He took both his goals superbly and his manager a huge selection headache for Sunday’s game against Fortune

9. BEN HART (North London Raiders C) - Big Ben breathed a huge sigh of relief when he found his shooting boots in his garage. His hat-trick fired L’Orange was just what Richie Abrahams ordered as the team moved to within two points of top spot with a game in hand

10. JOSH GREEN (Norstar A) - Green was the envy of Neasden as he continued his rich vein of form in front of goal with a hat-trick to complete back-to-back appearance in JC Team of the Week. The message is: Redbridge beware!

11. MATT STOCK (North London Raiders A) - while some were doing their best impression of Bambi on ice, Team GB star Stock played a big part in Raiders’ 6-0 demolition of Hendon B. He took both his goal like a man that has scored five times in a Varsity match and won gold in Vienna

MANAGER OF THE WEEK
Eilon Kennet (Redbridge Jewish Care A)

REFEREE OF THE WEEK
Stephen Levy (Brady Maccabi A vs Southgate Harmen A)
