articlemain

Here are the star men from Matchday 24 of the MGBSFL season.

1. RUSSELL CORIN (Hendon Utd SC A) - nominated by both managers - "a colossus in goal - making a number of crucial saves and a great inspiration"

2. JOSH GREENHAM (FC Team A) - "full of passion and desire, bombing up and down the right hand side, solid and best game in a team shirt capped with a goal"

3. BRADLEY GAYER (Chigwell Athletic) - got up and down well, with pace, power and energy

4. PARYS HAMMOND (Boca Jewniors) - rock solid against the rampaging Cats

5. PAUL HIZER (Chigwell Athletic) - caged the Lions with a powerhouse performance

6. JOSH NEWMAN (Brady B) - hat-trick hero in the 5-1 demolition of Shirley Park

7. BEN WEINBERG (Southgate Harmen) - "most comfortable when he is hunting for the ball, always happy to receive the ball to feet and seems to beat any player in the air despite being one of the smallest on the pitch. Showed his true class with a well-taken goal"

8. DAVE ESTERKIN (NL Raiders A) - two great headers and "showed unbelievable engines on such a poor, heavy surface" to lead his team to the title

9. DAN GORDON (Faithfold C) - anything Schnitzelman can do, Flash can do just as well!

10. RICHARD FOGELMAN (L’Equipe) - "another phenomenal game up top with another hat-trick and a dead cert for goal of the week with a 35-yard screamer of a free kick sandwiched in between two cool finishes past the keeper. L'Equipe "almost managed to charge an entrance fee from some of the FC Team and Hendon boys on the next pitch to watch fogey - it was billed as "feed the Foge and he will score"

11. DAVID DINKIN (NL Raiders A) - "complete striker’s performance in tortuous conditions. Kept his head when his markers were losing theirs and topped it all off with the vital goal"

MANAGER: Jonathan Adelman (Norstar London Raiders B)

REFEREE: Gary Silver (Hendon B vs Southgate Harmen)
