Danny Caro's Team of the Week - April 10

Jack Smith (NL Raiders A) - making his debut in a national cup semi-final, 17-year-old Smithy, who stands at 6ft 5” took to the big occasion like a duck to water. Dealt with high balls, cross and shots like a true professional, and he has a serious kick on him, to boot. Young Jack looks gentle and mild-mannered on the outside but if you step out of line, he will come down on you like a ton of bricks. Left a lasting impression on me and the boys. Definitely one to watch

Lee Stone (Team JLGB) - “solid at the back, winning everything in the air, putting in solid challenges and clearing his lines superbly. Not to mention of course scoring JLGB’s first goal in five matches with a great leap and solid header”

Jeff Gotch (Inter Borehamwood) - two goals against Pinner from the John Terry of Division Four

Joel Isaacs (Catford & Bromley Maccabi) - centre back extraordinaire. “First to every header and loose ball, and a brilliantly taken hat trick to boot”

Rik Sherman (North London Raiders B) - “was outstanding throughout the top-of-the-table clash, not only scoring two goals but also stopping Brady from creating any clear-cut chances. Even more astonishing was the fact that he was only half fit as he had only just recovered from a hamstring injury”

Gary Cohen (Montana A) - dealt Oakwood’s promotion’s dreams a major blow as he helped Montana come from behind to claim a stunning late win

Jonny Hesselberg (North London Raiders B) - “his best performance in a Raiders shirt. All round colossal display, never gave away possession - a rock at the heart of the midfield”

Ben Bell (Athletic Bilbaum) - “fantastic on the wing, causing problems for their right back all game long”

Mark Lazare (NW Neasden B) - loves playing against Harmen. Hit a hat-trick in Neasden’s Anekstein Cup win over Harmen B earlier in the season and left the Southgate boys seeing double with another treble, this time against their A-team

Ben Kon (Hendon Utd SC A) - another towering display from the Hammers powerhouse whose decisive late strike was simply stunning

Andy Sheena (FC Team A) - injury-plagued front man finished the season with a bang. Bagged a brace against Chigwell Athletic. Red-hot striker does not want the campaign to end
