Danny Caro's Quote of the Week: February 3

articlemain

It's not every day that a Lions team gets thumped 8-1. With this in mind, it was good to hear manager Andy Landesberg tell it like it is following the demolition at the hands of Rowley Lane rivals Brady.

WINNER: Andy LANDESBERG (Lions A) - "Brady were everything we were not. The competed strongly throughout the hole 90 minutes' after his team's 8-1 cup humiliation at the hands of Brady

NOMINEES:

- Dan CURTIS (Loughton Orient) - "FC Team C are a very good team but we contributed to our own downfall this morning" following the 10-1 routing

- Andy LANDESBERG (Lions A) - QUOTE 2 - "today was a kick where it hurts most"

- Dan JACOBS (Maccabiah Masters) "On the day they failed to take the one or two chances they created in a first half played with the wind, and in the end an excellently worked goal from us, finished by Paul Linger, coupled with a huge dollop of experience allowed us to secure the win"

- David GORDON (FC Team B) - "Redbridge B are a good footballing side who are very well organised and played with a hunger you would expect from a team made up of predominantly youngsters"

- Mark PASHA (Athletic Bilbaum) - "Both teams played some great football in excellent spirit on a field that would not have been out of place at the battle of Agincourt"

- DARYL PHILLIPS (Faithfold A) - "I didn't get a chance to come on and show the kids how its done! There was just no-one I could take off"
