Danny Caro's Quote of the Week: February 24

articlemain

There were some big games and big battles on and off the pitch this weekend. The mind games have well and truly started, and Oakwood B boss Ian Tussie tickled me, once again, after his King Kev-style rant following the defeat in the top of the table clash against AC Mill Hill.

WINNER: - Ian Tussie (Oakwood B) - QUOTE 1 - "But I'll tell ya Danny - you can tell Levy now if he's reading it - we're still fighting for this title, and they've got to go to Boca Jewniors and get something, and... and I tell you honestly, I will love it if we beat them, love it"

NOMINEES

- Andy Landesberg (Lions A) - "I love this, you work all week, sometimes it's good, sometimes not so good. When you have a day like today, it is so incredible"

- Eilon Kennet (Redbridge JC A) - QUOTE 1 - "Well done on getting the result, Andy, but let's be honest, if we'd taken half our chances, we would have won the game comfortably"

- Eilon Kennet (Redbridge JC A) - QUOTE 2 - "It wasn't a great game for the spectators, but any team comprising Shwartzie, Goldie, Cashie and Daggers is still worth the admission price"

- David Garbacz (Hendon A) - "There was not too much controversy this week thankfully!"

- David Garson (Faithfold C) - "Normally I turn up for a game and recognise quite a few of the other team, this week as there oldest player was 18 I had to ask if I knew any of their parents!"

- Lee Fegan (Temple Fortune A) - "I have asked Shai to sleep with his shooting boots over Saturday night so he doesn't forget them again. He should of scored more but I am pleased with the runs he is making to create the space and more goals will be coming shortly from him"

- Chaim Gothold (Hendon B) - "We were very depleted due to Purim. We did our best in the circumstances, but Fortune were too strong for us"

- Josh Marks (Camden Park) - "We thought Shirley would be a bigger test of our ability, but it turned out to be a test of our desire. Scoring was no problem, but the fact that we came back from behind twice showed great desire"

- Ian Tussie (Oakwood B) - QUOTE 2 - "Zloof's goal was utterly outstanding. He had no right to attempt to score like that"

- Josh Dagul (Brady B) - "SPEC are a decent side, but we simply didn't do ourselves justice out there. They may feel that the league is wide open now, but that defeat has simply made us more determined to do what is necessary to win the league."

- Michael Myers (FC Team C) - "I do not favour double-headers. They are difficult games with only 60 minutes, pressure is on from the start"
