articlemain

There were some big performances from players who had their fans on the edge of their seats on Matchday 30 of the JC MSFL.

1. Doug CARSON (North West Neasden B) – “a commanding performance” against the Cats

2. Simon LEE (SPEC FC) – “Stunning performance in defence and attack. Deft first touch, solid in the tackle and composed on the ball. Expert”

3. Julian GERTNER (Los Blancos) – “another superb performance. Bossed the game with excellent defending and surging overlapping runs that carved the Redbridge defence open time and time again”

4. Jordan SAPLER (Glenthorne United B) – “Captained from the back, making last minute tackles and winning almost everything in the air, brought the ball out of defence well and was unlucky with a 20-yard volley”

5. Benjy ISRAEL (Los Blancos) – “constant aerial threat” against RJC B

6. Nick BERMAN (SPEC FC) – “bossed the midfield despite the oppositions numerical central midfield advantage. Ran his socks off but also had the quality to deliver the assist for the winning goal”

7. Emile BEN ATAR (FC Team B) – “shielded the back four brilliantly and made what looked like a match winning block in the 90th minute at 3-2”

8. James BERKLEY (Glenthorne United B) – “Ran the show in midfield along with Jay Lawrene and helped by the holding Andy Herman. Twisted and turned through the Norstar team on more than one occasion”

9. Mark SINGER (L’Equipe) – “was absolutely fantastic for the whole two hours. He scored our winner and was at the heart of everything his team did”

10. Dave NEWMAN (SPEC FC) - Scored match-winning goal with bullet header. 100 per cent head to goal ratio this season to make it two in two

11. Mitch LASSMAN (FC Team B) – “scored his third and fourth goals in the last two games and worked hard for the team, often dropping back into midfield. A real captain's performance”

Player: Emile Ben Atar (FC Team B)

Manager: Ben Simon (FC Team B)

Goal: James Joseph (Brady B)
