Danny Caro's Monthly Awards: October

articlemain

Liron Mannie is my Player of the Month for October following a stunning few weeks which saw him register eight goals.

Mannie has been a key reason why the defending champions awoke from their early-season slumber, running defences ragged in the MGBSFL and London FA Sunday Challenge Cup.

The former Player of the Year also contributed several assists and a Goal of the Week contender.

NLR boss Dan Shafron told JC Sport; “Liron has produced some all-round super games. He is a constant threat offensively and works hard for his team off the ball.”

David Garbacz wins the top managerial award after leading Hendon United Sports Club A to an unbeaten month domestically.

The Reds stand toe-to-toe with Redbridge Jewish Care – whose manager Jon Jacobs received the accolade in September – following six consecutive league victories, and Garbacz was described as “classy” by his counter-part Max Saunders after their first win over Camden Park.

Josh Bloom takes the top player prize in Division One. He registered eight goals in five matches in October, and produced multiple assists.

Lions boss Sam Marchant told JC Sport: “Josh been under pressure with the summer arrival of Michael Kenley but has truly performed and shown why he is one of the best and most clinical strikers out there.”

The Lions are celebrating a win-double after gaffer Marchant won the managerial gong in Division One following victories over Faithfold, Finchley City, Los Blancos and a cup win over Catford & Bromley.

Richard Fogelman was the star man in Division Two, netting an incredible 14 goals in three matches.

He edged out Grant Bates of L’Equipe who has been in “phenomenal form” since reverting to centre-back. Team-mates James Mandell and Max Martin were also praised by the JC panel of judges.

There was jubilation for L’Equipe in the managerial stakes, with Nick Stern taking his team to the summit after an impressive success over promotion rivals RCUK FC, which came on the back of wins over Mill Hills Dons and Hertswood Vale.
