Danny Caro's Monthly Awards - March

articlemain

All but one division sees two important figures from the same club recognised for outstanding achievement on and off the pitch. Meet my men for March.

Peter Morrison Trophy finalists Faithfold A have even more reason to celebrate after striker Jonny Haik and manager Zuriel Solomon were recognised for outstanding achievement in March.

In the absence of the cup-tied Mike Pearson, Haik has worked his socks off to lead the Superhoops into the Jewish FA Cup final with wins over Neasden A and B. Defenders Alex Taylor and James Frenner plus midfielders Alex Levack and Paul Babai have also excelled.

The Division One title race look set to go to the wire. FC Team keeper David Grossman was the standout candidate following brilliant displays against North London Raiders B and Brady Maccabi. Oakwood trio Eddie Manson, Adam Levene and Ilan Scorah have also impressed. Led by the dream team that is Alex Schock and Ric Blank, the Oaks look set to push Raiders and Brady all the way for the title.

Woodford captain Harrison Midda was the star man in Division Two. He edged out Brixton hotshot Jamie Kent. Alex Aviram completes a win double after masterminding victories over newly promoted Fortune and Brixton.

Darren Rolfe edged out Glenthorne A managers David Blitz and Dan Lipman for the Division Three award. Rolfe masterminded a sensational 5-2 win over the Thornes in the league and steered the U’s into the semi-finals of the Barry Goldstein Trophy.

Ben Nassim scored in the wins of Glenthorne, fired a hat-trick against Temple Fortune B and was the inspiration behind the 7-3 mauling of Catford. Rejuvenated strike partner Assi Avital was also praised by the judges.

Louis Taylor is the main man in Division Four. He steered the team to memorable wins over leaders Glenthorne B, promotion-chasing Los Blancos, Shirley Park and Hendon, with two clean sheets to boot. It’s clear that Taylor does not want the season to end.

It’s been a real team effort for Neasden with Benji Gourgey getting the nod for top player. Taylor has certainly got the best out of the winger whose work-rate and creativity has blown some of their rivals away.
