Danny Caro's Division One TOTS 2011/12

articlemain

There were some big calls to make in Division One but this team has an excellent blend of youth, experience and quality from front to back.

1. JAKE DOFFMAN (Brixton Old Boys A) - "been consistent in every game and has pulled off some wonderful saves"

2. ILAN SCORAH (Oakwood) - "barely missed a game and put in some heroic performances with a variety of centre half partners. He's improved so much since joining Oakwood"

3. JONNY BEILIN (Oakwood) - SEE TEAM OF THE SEASON

4. JOSH PISTOL (Norstar A) - "outstanding first season at the club. Strong, quick, athletic centre half who loves making tackles and making things happen from the back of the pitch. At 21, he has a very bright Norstar future ahead of him"

5. ED WEISZ (Brixton Old Boys A) - "great leader as captain of the team"

6. HARRISON GRANT (Redbridge Jewish Care B) - 16-year-old wonder kid "had a very good season. Played in nine different positions and showed fantastic attitude week in, week out. Was a model of consistency, covered every blade of grass and was always one of the best players on the park"

7. CRAIG PEARL (Chigwell Athletic) - "class act dictated so many games from centre midfield and at 34, still manages to out class players 10 years his junior

8. ROB HERSHKORN ((Brixton Old Boys A) - "had a great season" in a midfield unit, playing alongside Ben Weinberg, George Fierstone, Rob Blackman and James Kaye

9. JAMIE KENT (Brixton Old Boys A) - SEE TEAM OF THE SEASON

10. RICKY ENGLEMAN (North West Neasden B) - a real talent. The former Hillingdon Boro man was a great find and ran matches in a season where he also broke into the London Lions squad

11. JONNY KAY (Norstar A) - "- it's no surprise that Norstar's mid-season blip in form coincided with Jonny's three weeks in Australia. Jonny is the heart beat of the team and reads the game better than anyone. The complete central midfield player able to defend and attack with equal confidence"

Managers: RIC BLANK & ALEX SCHOCK (Oakwood)
