West Ridng County FA Sunday Trophy Round Two
Waterloo FC 1
Leeds Maccabi 1st 6

Leeds Maccabi 1st cruised into the third round of the West Riding Trophy after crushing Waterloo FC.

Dan Seligman hit a hat-trick as Leeds followed up last week’s 5-0 win over West Wortley with a 6-1 demolition job.

Seligman’s treble and further strikes from Ben Ullmann, Dan Ross and Charlie Myers sealed the win and ensured Leeds go into next weekend’s Peter Morrison Trophy clash with Republic of Flixton on top form.

“It was a good win against very strong opposition,” said Selwyn.

“It was very close for the first 30 minutes and our goalkeeper, Louis Abrahamson, made three terrific saves to keep us in it.

“But after we got in front, we managed to wear them down and kill the game off as a contest.”
