Crumspall 2nd withdraws from MJSL

articlemain

Crumpsall 2nd has folded after revealing they could no longer field a team in the Manchester Jewish Soccer League.

MJSL secretary Paul Rose told the JC: "Crumpsall FC advised the MJSL that they could no longer field a second team even though they have over 40 players registered.

"They confirmed it was disappointing but recently they could only get 18 players out for a league game between their 1st and 2nd team which really crystallised their decision.

"From a league perspective, the 2nd team were a new “team” as such and of course we are disappointed but there had been several cancelled league fixtures already and further disruption would not be acceptable both to the League and its member clubs."
