Cohen dedicates goal to father

articlemain

Tamir Cohen dedicated his last-minute winner against Arsenal to father Avi Cohen, who died in a motorcycle accident late last year.

The Israeli midfielder broke down in tears as he wheeled away in delight, ripping off his Bolton shirt to display a T-shirt with a picture of his dad on it, for which he was booked.

"I came on top protect a point but was very happy to score. It was very emotional for me, said Cohen who was reduced to tears again during a post-match interview.

Teammate Daniel Sturridge said: "Tamir deserves this moment for the effort he puts in at training and his hard work on the pitch.

"Today is a great tribute to him."
