Chelsea kid to stay on

articlemain

Avram Grant has left Chelsea, Ben Sahar has moved on loan to Portsmouth and Tal Ben Haim is on the verge of leaving. But one Jewish player who is definitely staying is 11-year-old Sam Monjack.

The central midfielder has been retained as a contracted player for a fourth season and will represent the club's under-12s.

The Radlett youngster started training with the Blues five years ago and has played at Stamford Bridge several times, as well as at the City Ground, Nottingham and Reading's Madejski Stadium.
Monjack said: "I would like to go as far as possible with my football and the grounding I have had with Chelsea will stand me in good stead. I realise that to make it at the very top level is extremely difficult but I will do my best."
