Centurion Brand inspires LMV

articlemain

A dazzling century from Adam Brand inspired London Maccabi Vale 1st to their second win of the Middlesex Sunday Cricket League Division One season.

Brand was the lynchpin as LMV recorded 215-4 from 33 overs in a rain-affected match against North London Muslims.

Fellow Team GB star Laurence Bensusan anchored the innings with a patient unbeaten 64 as LMV set an imposing score.

NLM had no answer to an excellent spell from new ball bowler Saul Weitzman (5-34).

He helped restrict them to under a 100, with captain Neil Lederman and Bensusan also among the wickets.
