Brand is pick of the bunch

Adam Brand is London Maccabi Vale's Player of the Season.

The 1st XI captain had a phenomenal year, steering the team to the Middlesex Sunday League Division Two title. He hit 766 runs at an average of 69.64 and chipped in with 18 wickets.

LMV chairman Terry Hyman said: "Adam's determination and leadership brought out the best in the rest of the team."

Daniel Caplan won Most Improved Player. The all-rounder was promoted up the batting order and he repaid the faith of 2nd XI captain Jonathan Lederman by accumulating 355 and played a key role in the club's 2nd XI winning the National Knockout Cup.

Benjamin Lederman earned performance of the season after a match-winning five-wicket haul in the final against Belmont & Edgware 1st.

Jonathan Freedman received the Alan Shapiro Clubman award.
